Open the room, then plan where the doors go.
Bifolds can fold away to connect living space and garden. For a Wivenhoe installation, the panel stack and everyday access route matter as much as the width of the opening. The Wivenhoe Comp Door project began with an entrance that was no longer usable. For your own brief, separate essential improvements to operation and access from the colours and decorative details you would like.

Before you choose
Mark where chairs, planters and the dining table will sit when the panels are folded. The stack needs space, and an everyday access leaf may be useful when you do not want to open the complete set.

Our Colchester Origin Soho installation shows a completed folding-door arrangement. Before choosing your own configuration, mark the clear opening, the space needed for the folded panels and your everyday route to the garden. Confirm the threshold detail alongside the finished internal and external floor levels.

Build your specification
01
Compare the number of leaves and the direction in which they gather.
02
Discuss internal floors, external paving and drainage together before setting levels.
03
Consider privacy and shading alongside the glass specification, especially for a much larger opening.
