More room for everyday life

Tiled conservatories in Essex

Create somewhere to dine, work or relax, with the connection to the garden that makes a conservatory special. A tiled warm roof changes the feel of the room: a solid, insulated structure above, a plastered finish below and glazing positioned where you want the light.

Comfort considered

Plan the roof, glazing, ventilation and heating together. Roof insulation is one part of making a room you can use more often.

Daylight by design

Choose roof glass panels, generous windows and doors to balance natural light with shade and privacy.

A proper interior finish

A vaulted plastered ceiling, planned lighting and coordinated finishes help the new space feel connected to your home.

Ultraframe Ultraroof

Tiled outside. Light and inviting inside.

Ultraroof is designed for tiled conservatories and extensions, as well as suitable roof replacement projects. Its insulated construction, tiled exterior and internal ceiling finish give you an alternative to a fully glazed roof.

Full-length roof glass panels can be incorporated into suitable designs. We will discuss their position alongside the windows, doors and furniture layout, so the light works for the room.

Tiled conservatory FAQs

What is a tiled roof conservatory?

It combines conservatory-style glazing with an insulated solid roof and a tiled exterior. Inside, a plastered ceiling gives the space a room-like finish, while carefully placed roof glass can bring in daylight.

Can you build a new conservatory with a tiled roof?

Yes. We can plan a new tiled conservatory around the size of your garden, access from your house and how you want to use the room. The base, walls, glazing, roof and finishing work are considered together.

Can you replace the roof on my existing conservatory instead?

A roof-only replacement may be suitable if the existing frames, walls and base can support the proposed roof. We assess the structure first and explain any additional work. Our conservatory roof replacement page covers this route in more detail.

Will a tiled conservatory be dark?

A solid roof admits less overhead daylight than a fully glazed roof. Roof glazing and the position of the windows and doors help balance daylight and shade. We also consider the effect on the adjoining room in your house.

Will it be comfortable throughout the year?

Insulation can help reduce heat loss through the roof, and a solid roof limits direct overhead sunshine. The comfort of the whole room also depends on the glazing, ventilation, heating and how it is used.

How much does a tiled conservatory cost?

We prepare a tailored quotation because size, foundations, wall construction, glazing, doors, electrics and access all affect the price. The visualiser is for exploring ideas; it does not calculate a fixed installation price.

Do I need planning permission or building regulations approval?

The requirements depend on the design, location and how the new room connects to your home. We discuss the approvals relevant to your project before the specification is agreed. A roof system’s certification does not replace assessment of the complete project.

Can I send you my visualiser design?

Yes. Choose your options, then select “Get a quote for this design”. Your choices are included with the enquiry. You can also save an image of the preview to your device.
