The project story
We were asked to carry out a like-for-like window replacement and install a new composite front door for this first-floor flat in Brightlingsea, upgrading the home’s performance while keeping everything in harmony with the surrounding residence block.
The existing windows were replaced with high-performance rosewood uPVC frames, carefully chosen to match the original colour so they blend seamlessly with the other properties in the building. While the appearance remains consistent, the new glazing delivers a huge improvement in energy efficiency, sound reduction, and security – creating a warmer, quieter, and more comfortable home.
Upgrading to Energy-Efficient and Composite Door
Alongside the windows, we installed this stunning Winslow design composite front door in Duck Egg Blue. Bright, welcoming, and full of charm, it adds real personality to the entrance while remaining in keeping with the building thanks to its matching rosewood frame. Finished with sleek chrome furniture, including a traditional ring knocker and letterplate, the door also features an elegant half-moon glass panel that allows natural light to flow into the hallway.
The result is a beautifully coordinated upgrade – modern performance with a look that respects the character and uniformity of the building.
