Kubu reports the lock’s status; it does not give the app the ability to lock or unlock your door. Your physical locking hardware remains in use.

A compatible sensor, Kubu Hub, app setup and a working connection are needed for remote monitoring. Ask Spectrum to confirm what is included and demonstrate the setup at handover.

Comp Door includes Kubu on eligible entrance doors. French and stable doors are excluded from the standard Kubu offer.

Before you order

Does Kubu replace an alarm?

No. Treat it as additional information about your door, not a replacement for properly securing your home or a full alarm system.

Can I unlock the door from my phone?

No. This Kubu monitoring system does not remotely lock or unlock the door.

Will it work without setup?

The sensor needs to be paired with the app and compatible hub. Check connectivity, permissions and any battery requirements for your supplied equipment.

What if my phone or internet is unavailable?

Remote status and notifications depend on the system being connected. Continue to check and operate the physical lock normally.
