The brief
The household needed accessible ground-floor accommodation, including a bedroom and wet room. The design had to work around a restricted site while improving movement through the property.
The design
The L-shaped extension adds approximately 22 square metres at the rear and side. A skylight brings daylight through the flat roof, with Hardie Plank cladding and brick slips used outside. The project was delivered alongside BCC Adaptations with Disabled Facilities Grant support.
The result
The completed layout provides the requested accessible rooms and makes the home more practical for the family’s needs.
