The brief
Sarah and Steven’s conservatory had become an unused storage space. The dated roof and frames offered poor temperature control, and the couple wanted a brighter room that suited the rest of their home.
The design
Their replacement reused the original base. Two large roof-glazing panels, bifold doors and a full-height corner window bring daylight into the tiled-roof design. The existing dividing doors were removed to connect it to the kitchen-diner.
The result
The result is an open-plan extension with a taller-feeling interior and a much stronger connection to the main living space.
